The KB90 is the ultimate evolution of the Linea PB form. Designed to optimize the workflow for the barista in the world’s busiest bars by improving the ergonomics and features of the machine. The KB90 is named for our Board Chairman, Kent Bakke. The most exciting new feature of the KB90 is the Straight-in Portafilter. Kent has always seen La Marzocco’s mission to create machines that make the lives of the barista easier and more efficient, and the KB90 embodies this philosophy.

Straight-In Portafilter

Designed to simplify the motions required to engage the portafilter and reduce the strain by 12 times on the barista for even greater performance and everyday usability. The Straight-In Portafilter can noticeably mitigate repetitive stress injuries.

Dual Boilers with PID System

Dual boilers optimize espresso brewing and steam production. This machine contains a single steam boiler with a capacity of 11 liters, and 3 coffee boilers with a capacity of 1.3 liters for each boiler. Dual PID (coffee and steam) allows you to electronically control coffee and steam boiler temperature.

Independent Coffee Boilers

Separate boilers for each group head allow the barista to reduce energy consumption and optimize temperature for coffee, ensuring thermal stability.

Three Saturated Groups

Three groups are fully saturated to ensure unsurpassed thermal stability, shot after shot. Brew water is preheated before entering the boiler for increased temperature stability.

Steam Flush with Easy Rebuild Steam Valve

Keeps the group clean with an automatic burst of steam and a flush of hot water between extractions. Engineered so the valve can be serviced directly from the front of the machine without needing to be removed.

Water Pump

The rotary vane pump is installed on the water supply tubing and is set up to operate anytime the coffee groups are activated, and through an autofill system whenever the water boiler needs to be replenished.

2 Stainless Steel Cool Touch Steam Wands

The new cool touch wand is always cold, even when delivering steam. It eliminates any risk of scalding for the barista and facilitates cleaning operations because of milk encrusting lack.
